The cottage was absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful architecture and furnishings. the location was perfect, with stunning walks right on the doorstep and a charming local pub nearby. We loved being surrounded by the peacefulness and wildlife, especially the ducks and pheasants roaming around. the well-stocked kitchen and cozy amenities, like the real fire and selection of CDs and books, made our stay even more enjoyable. the cottage had ample space for the two of us and would still feel spacious with more guests.
The bed was a double and the mattress was quite soft, which might not suit those used to a king-sized bed. the TV in the main room was small, making it hard for a group of people to watch comfortably.

Our stay at the lovely cottage was truly amazing! The charming stone-built property in a peaceful location provided the perfect backdrop for a weekend away filled with picturesque walks. The cottage itself was a hidden treasure, offering both comfort and tranquility. The spacious living room with generous seating and dining areas was a great place to relax and unwind. The master bedroom was equally spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We also enjoyed the beautiful garden with its pond, surrounded by trees and birds. The close proximity to the grouse moors adjoining Kinder Scout gave us easy access to stunning nature trails. The log burning stove added to the cozy and inviting atmosphere, making our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the local pub, Lantern Pike, was a fantastic place to indulge in delicious food and engage in friendly conversations with locals. I highly recommend this fantastic cottage for a memorable getaway.
